GSA (Geospace Adventure) was held in Kamioka Town, Hida City

On July 13th and 14th, 2024, the GSA (Geospace Adventure) event, which offers tours of the underground space and research facilities of Kamioka Mine, was held this year in Kamioka Town, Hida City. The event is led by the GSA Executive Committee, a group of volunteer staff including Hida citizens.
During this event tour, there was a seminar about the Tohoku University Neutrino Science Research Center's detector "KamLAND", and our three students gave some talks. The number of participants in this GSA was 800 over the two days, and it seems that it was an event where many participants were able to experience astrophysics research.
