The TFC aims to create the pioneering research areas by openly inviting themes for intensive discussion through the international symposium series, public events and support for long-term stay’s researchers.
The theme "Frontier of Understanding Earth's Interior and Dynamics", which is organised by Professor Kunio Inoue and Assistant Professor Hiroko Watanabe(represetitive) of the RCNS together with researchers in the field of the Earth Sciences, was selected as a issue for the year 2022. It aims to build and grow an interdisciplinary community in order to better clarify the new approaches for the key issues in the Earth Sciences.
As part of this programme, the internationl symposium was held at the Katahira campus of the Tohoku University on the 8th and 9th of August.
