JSNS2ステライルニュートリノ探索実験
が最初のデータ収集を行いました!

当センターが参加し、茨城県J-PARC研究所で行っているJSNS2ステライルニュートリノ探索実験が、長い準備期間の末、6月に実際のビームを使い最初のデータ収集を行いました。今後、クリーンな実験環境でステライルニュートリノ(素粒子の標準理論には含まれていない第４のニュートリノ)の探索を進めて行きます。

当センターは、JSNS2実験グループの重要メンバーとして活躍しています。

"JSNS2 sterile neutrino experiment took the first data.”

JSNS2 sterile neutrino experiment (@J-PARC, Ibaraki pref.) took the first data using real beam in June after the long preparation period. We will search for the sterile neutirno (4th neutrino which is not included in the standard model of the elementary particles) making use of clean experimental conditions.

We are playing an active part of the experiment as a main member of the JSNS2 group.
